Field Engineer

• Responsible for the Implementation of complex communication system infrastructure and technical support of specialized sub-systems and product applications.
• Troubleshoot software-driven electronics, IP networks, server and network hardware, and performance verification and optimization of RF and broadband architecture.
• Team with Systems Engineering, Project Management, and Sales personnel to effectively design, implement, optimize, test, cutover, and document advanced communication systems that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments.
• Utilize system design drawings, planners, and product documentation to oversee the onsite installation of network, server, and RF equipment.
• Provide as-built information for the final system documentation package.
• Perform onsite and remote configuration of network, server, RF, and databases, utilizing network design tools and customer input.
• Troubleshoot networks, servers, databases, and RF infrastructure using system logs and tools.
• Perform acceptance testing using product and system test plans.

• Providing technical support for specialized systems and product applications, including advanced troubleshooting of software-driven electronics, provisioning communication system infrastructure, and optimizing the performance of RF and Broadband architecture (e.g., legacy analog, advanced digital P25, and data infrastructure).
• Maintaining, optimizing, testing, documenting, and supporting complex communication systems.
• Performing preventative maintenance routines with a focus on trend analysis and documentation to ensure proper system operation.
• Developing solutions for difficult technical problems encountered during system maintenance, upgrades, or support issues.
• Collaborating with Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and Customer Service personnel to effectively maintain, optimize, and support advanced communication systems that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Delivering strong knowledge of wired communication systems, such as Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).

Field Service Technician

• Install propane tanks and do basic repairs
• Fill in and deliver propane as needed during busy season
• Increase propane sales through door-to-door sales, marketing programs, customer referrals, and telemarketing
• Grow and maintain current market share through prompt delivery of products and regular communication with customers
• Make recommendations of propane and services to customers and promote CHS products and services
• Perform propane and equipment installation, repair, and delivery work as required
• Invoice all products and services accurately
• Handle all customer complaints with follow-up
• Ensure daily paperwork is accurate and complete
• Participate in increasing departmental efficiency and reducing operational costs
• Adhere to CHS pricing, credit, inventory, and safety policies
• Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions

• Installs, debugs and provides technical maintenance for product and component hardware and software, mainly on customer premises.
• Provides scheduled inspection, cleaning and other services and performs minor product repairs within an assigned territory.
• Inspects products for correct operation and resolves noted issues and / or escalates according to established procedure.
• Schedules services, completes all required paperwork and works with customers to ensure satisfaction with service delivery and understanding of product functionality.

• Learn to complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance, FMIs and/or ISIs.
• Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
• Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repair needs on designated equipment.
• Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues.
• Learn to effectively communicate with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
• Partner with the customer and recommend value-added services that will help the customer run their business more efficiently.
• Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner, ordering repair parts, and managing cycle times.
• Utilize the GEHC escalation process, as needed, and work closely with region and national support to define and implement corrective action plans to resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
• Serve as a member of the account community for key accounts.
• Effectively engage commercial counterparts, identify potential sales leads, participate in sales opportunities such as contract renewals, and assist with promoting and implementing revenue programs.
• Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, while building on and enhancing the relationship with the customer to ultimately become a perceived partner in their business.
• Keep up to date with competitor information and market trends.
• Answer service calls independently without assistance within one year of employment.
