Enrollment Specialist

• Evaluating the patient’s financial circumstances and providing information regarding potential resources to patients
• Assisting patients with the submission of applications, obtaining required verification, documenting identity and citizenship according to DMAP standards
• Following up with patients to assure timely submission and acting as liaison with DMAP to eliminate barriers to eligibility determinations
• Maintaining regular, consistent, and predictable punctuality and attendance
• Demonstrating knowledge of all aspects of medical assistance programs available through the Department of Human Services
• Working with billing department to identify potential covered charges that can be billed to DMAP or other insurance carrier
• Meeting in person, with patients referred by reception or other clinic staff
• Enrolling patients via-phone or virtually
• Providing monthly status reports to Management

• Evaluate program operations for the state-run technology platform and consumer assistance center (CAC).
• Develop operational guidelines and procedures for use by state agencies, insurance carriers, health insurance agents, and community-based organizations.
• Support training and development, compliance, and quality assurance activities for both the technology platform and the CAC.
