• Lead Electrical Design for Generator Products: Accountable for comprehensive electrical design solutions, including controls architecture, protection systems, and power distribution for generator products.
• Manage Electrical Design Function & Resources: Coordinate resources, manage technical competency frameworks, ensure knowledge transfer, and maintain technical expertise within the Electrical Engineering team.
• Establish Engineering Governance & Standards: Develop and implement management processes to ensure all electrical deliverables adhere to sound engineering practice and comply with relevant standards and legislation.
• Drive Continuous Process Improvement: Identify and promote operating efficiencies through the continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes, maximizing benefits across all functions.

Electrical Engineering Manager

• Design Review & Analysis
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of HV electrical design packages for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
• Identify and evaluate potential fatal flaws in system configuration, equipment selection, and design compliance.
• Develop and deliver detailed engineering reports with findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
• Analyze single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and control system designs for accuracy and completeness.
• Evaluate equipment specifications including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protection devices.
• Conduct due diligence, desktop reviews and develop construction monitoring reports, and/or project completion reports on energy and infrastructure assets.
• Electrical Studies & System Analysis
• Review arc flash studies and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Analyze short-circuit studies, load flow, and fault current calculations to support system planning and coordination.
• Review substation grounding systems to ensure compliance with standards and local requirements.
• Evaluate harmonic studies and recommend mitigation strategies to enhance power quality.
• Review and optimize relay coordination and protection settings.
• Review metering coordination and revenue metering requirements to ensure proper integration.
• Transmission & Distribution Systems
• Review transmission line designs for grid interconnections.
• Evaluate substation layouts and equipment arrangements to ensure safety, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
• Assess SCADA and communication system integration requirements for data monitoring and control.
• Review protection schemes and backup protection strategies for reliability and redundancy.

Electrical Engineer – Substation

• Perform electrical engineering design for onshore and/or offshore oil and gas facilities
• Responsible for studies, designs, specifications, and services related to HV, MV, LV switchgear, MV VFDs, distribution systems, etc.
• Have experience on HV, MV and LV systems/ancillaries, including transformers, etc.
• Have handled electrical packages such as UPS, distribution boards, or supported mechanical packages by reviewing engineering documents
• Have database engineering experience, developing load lists, cable schedules, control schematics, etc.
• Able to perform technical bid evaluations for basic electrical packages
• Key deliverables include: Electrical Design Basis, Electrical Equipment List, Electrical MTO, Electrical Load List & Power Summary, Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Switch gear and transformer datasheet, Power System Studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting), Substation Layout Drawings, Main Power Cable Routing Drawings, Hazardous Area Classification, Electrical Equipment Data Sheets, Interface definition with power company, Preliminary Electrical cable routing, UPS/backup requirements for safety critical systems, Earthing/grounding requirements, Lighting Study, Lightening Protection requirements
