• Serve as the senior technical resource during assigned shifts

Chief Electrical Engineer

• Electrical Engineers at United Rotorcraft are responsible for the design, integration, analysis, and certification support of electrical and avionics systems for aviation rotorcraft modification programs operating under 14 CFR Parts 27 and 29.
• Engineers operate across the full lifecycle of engineering data from concept development through release ensuring solutions are safe, manufacturable, compliant with applicable FAA regulations, and aligned with internal standards and project Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Core deliverables include electrical system integration wiring diagrams, wire routing documentation (in collaboration with Mechanical Engineering), harness fabrication documentation, electrical load analyses, system safety artifacts, and test plans and reports.
• Electrical Engineers work closely with Project Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Certification, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure successful program execution and regulatory compliance.

• This position is in DLB’s Mission Critical Department focusing primarily on hyperscale data centers and related mission critical facilities.
• Collaborate with senior design staff to advance electrical design skills.
• Work as part of the Engineering Team and interact closely with the Project Management Team.
• Produce construction documents, develop and edit project specifications, and assist in the construction administration process.
• Review and write basic sequence of operations.
• Prepare project design and construction documents.
• Work as part of the engineering team and interact closely with the project management team.
• Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFIs, and complete punch lists and project closeout documents.

Electrical Engineer II

• Support power delivery team, working with multidisciplinary project teams providing electrical engineering and related technical expertise
• Manage projects, coaching and mentoring less-experienced staff, providing technical leadership
• Prepare designs for DC and AC collection systems and power plant controllers
• Focus on design and analysis including preparing plans and specifications, writing reports, and developing cost estimations
• Proposal development including defining work scopes, deliverables, schedules, and budget
• Ensure project milestones are met and provide regular updates to team members and clients
• Support the growth and development of team members
• Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and internal teams

Senior Electrical Engineer – Renewables Focus

• support the Engineering and Design business unit by interfacing with clients to support the development of substation physical design deliverables for utility upgrades
• responsible for understanding client and internal standards and developing deliverables for projects on time and within the budget
• assist in planning, coordinating, and executing projects
• help ensure project milestones are met and provide regular updates to team members and clients
• support the growth and development of team members

Senior Electrical Engineer – Substation Physical Design Focus

• Prepare power, automation, and communications system design and analysis in accordance with applicable codes for surface and underground mining operations
• Design fiber-optic communication networks, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) / HMI (Human-Machine Interface) Process Control Systems, and Leaky Feeder cable systems for mining automation/communication systems
• Design electrical infrastructure and power distribution systems including 35 kV, 25 kV or 15 kV power distribution, and 5 kV and 480 V power distribution/motor control
• Develop power systems analysis models using ETAP, EasyPower and/or SKM
• Support mine infrastructure design including switch rooms, messenger, tray, shaft and borehole cable installations
• Prepare quality reports, calculations, functional testing, capacitive charging current / ground potential rise assessments, and condition assessments
• Support mine services process control & instrumentation design including Ore & Waste Handling, Traffic Management, Ore Pass Dumping Controls, Crusher Controls, and Conveyor Synchronization
• Support Hoisting System Process Control and Interfaces, as well as Ventilation/Ventilation-on-Demand and Process Piping Systems including Dewatering, Fuel Delivery, Compressed Air, and Process Water

• Ensure roadside systems operate with 99.9% reliability
• Conduct deep dives into power systems and connectivity reliability
• Own development of schematics, PCBs, housing, and cabling solutions
• Lead design iterations to improve assembly yield and serviceability
• Write embedded code for hardware systems
