Electrical Engineer

• Perform detailed simulations related to high speed signal integrity, power system integrity, etc that ensure quality performance of Spectacles subsystems.
• Simulate and AC and DC power distribution networks and define impedance masks
• Design in complex SOCs, PMICs, Wireless ICs and sensors used in low-power consumer electronics
• Lead and contribute to technical design reviews
• Supervise and review layout for PCB, Flex, and Rigid Flex designs related SI, PI, EMC, EMI, etc

• Capture and translate engineering requirements and customer specifications for power electronic systems for space applications.
• Perform conceptual design, including selection of power-stage topology and control schemes suitable for challenging aerospace environments.
• Execute detailed design, selecting reliable and space-qualified components to meet demanding performance and environmental criteria.
• Develop and implement controller algorithms to optimize converter performance and efficiency.

• Provide engineering and design support to Project Engineers on new installation and retrofit projects for multiple clients: models, calculations, drawings, and deliverable preparation
• Build and update power system models in ETAP, SKM Power*Tools, and EasyPower under senior engineer direction
• Perform short circuit, protective device coordination, and arc flash calculations per IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E
• Travel to client facilities to collect equipment data and verify one line accuracy, including energized data collection under NFPA 70E procedures with proper PPE and training (5-15% travel)
• Create and revise one line diagrams, schematics, and design drawings in AutoCAD
• Draft study reports and arc flash labels for senior review
• Participate in internal training on power system fundamentals, study methodology, and electrical safety

Power/Electrical Engineer, EIT

• Apply experience, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills for the development and review of technical approaches and detailed electrical & control system design
• Design and develop electrical and control systems in accordance with applicable specifications, codes, and standards
• Perform electrical design calculations, including load flow analysis, short circuit studies, and protective device coordination assessments
• Work with engineers and technical experts to design and implement instrumentation and automation systems
• Prepare and update technical documentation and drawings—including Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, specifications, etc.—for both Power and Control Systems in accordance with applicable industry codes and standards

• Responsible for performing engineering design and analysis under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer in a manner that provides the client with a quality deliverable that is on time and within budget.
• Perform detailed design of all aspects of electrical power systems to include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, grounding design, general arrangement, selection of equipment, writing of equipment specifications, project and construction cost estimates, and project scheduling.
• Prepare computer-based models and perform power system studies on utility and industrial/commercial electrical power transmission and distribution systems, including short circuit, load flow, relay coordination, arc flash, motor starting, power factor, harmonic analysis, and other related studies.
