• Develop and execute a long-term global pension strategy aligned with AkzoNobel's business objectives and employee value proposition.
• Lead pension funding, investment, and asset-liability management strategies across defined benefit and defined contribution arrangements.
• Leading the post-employment workstreams in M&A activities.
• Direct pension risk management activities, including de-risking initiatives and liability optimization programs.
• Oversee actuarial valuations and translate outcomes into sustainable funding and governance strategies.
• Drive innovation in pension design, including ESG integration and evolving retirement solutions.
• Ensure full compliance with pension legislation, fiduciary responsibilities, and regulatory requirements across all relevant jurisdictions.
• Monitor global regulatory developments and proactively adapt governance frameworks and policies.
• Oversee statutory reporting, regulatory submissions, audits, and actuarial certifications.
• Maintain a robust risk and control environment, ensuring effective governance and oversight.
• Act as the primary pension subject matter expert for senior executives, trustees, employees, and retirees.
• Prepare and present pension performance, funding, investment, and governance updates to executive leadership and pension boards.
• Build strong relationships with regulators, actuaries, legal advisors, investment consultants, custodians, and asset managers.
• Represent AkzoNobel in industry forums and external stakeholder engagements.
• Oversee global pension administration and service delivery, ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage external vendors and service providers, including performance monitoring and contract negotiations.
• Establish KPIs and service standards that drive continuous improvement and member satisfaction.
• Lead and develop a team of pension professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

Global Pension Director

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end consolidation in accordance with IFRS, local statutory requirements and internal policies.
• Responsible for all external reporting: the annual integrated report (financials and ESG), all reporting to the shareholders and the reporting to lenders. Act as a key contact for external financial stakeholders.
• Represent the Finance function to the Executive team and Board. You provide a critical eye and can translate financial data into practical insights and clear reports for business stakeholders.
• Responsible for balance sheet integrity, ensuring readiness and transparency.
• Maintain and enhance accounting standards and internal control frameworks, supporting global compliance.
• Coordinate across regions and domains with various finance teams and global peers to ensure harmonized financial processes and alignment with our global finance policies.
• Support tax and compliance processes by coordinating accurate and timely input for local filings in close collaboration with the global tax team.
• Writing position papers and consulting with group and local GAAP advisors with regards to IFRS and local GAAP reporting issues.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with complex accounting issues by providing technical assessments as necessary to ensure compliance with new and existing accounting, sustainability and regulatory standards.
• Define and monitor service delivery KPIs and SLAs, driving accountability and continuous improvement across the team.
• Drive automation, standardization, and system optimization, maximizing efficiency through ERP (BC365), PowerBI and financial tooling (Tagetik).
• Contribute to solving complex challenges by exploring new approaches and sharing solutions across the organization.
• Support succession planning and long-term capability development, identifying growth paths, mentoring team members and building a resilient finance function.

Director, Group Control & External Reporting

• Lead and oversee the regulatory strategy in the region across the product lifecycle.
• Apply strategic regulatory thinking to anticipate regulatory risks and opportunities.
• Provide early, proactive regulatory input to development programs supporting the RA Global team.
• Ensure compliance and collaborate with the RA global team for effective lifecycle management.
• Serve as the senior regulatory interface with the commercial team in the region.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the Regulatory Affairs team, ensuring clear accountability.

Senior Director, EU Indirect, MEACAT

• Define and drive the strategy for the Banking segment, owning the roadmap for accounts, liquidity utility, and everyday financial features to maximize ROI.
• Define and own the North Star engagement KPIs for the banking vertical, ensuring every feature launch drives higher MAU and everyday banking utility.
• Establish a world-class experimentation culture within your team. You will relentlessly test hypotheses around onboarding, activation, and retention to drive incremental growth.
• Foster the use of AI tools (including "vibe coding" and rapid prototyping) within the PM and design teams to accelerate the build-measure-learn loop and drive extreme process efficiency.
• Own the end-to-end banking onboarding logic, ensuring a frictionless, delight-driven journey that converts crypto-native users into banking-active users.
• Oversee the evolution of the accounts experience, from core wallet utility to advanced savings and cash flow orchestration features.
• Partner with Engineering, UX, and Legal/Compliance to evolve our collaboration model, ensuring the "Bank" segment ships high-quality products at an elite fintech pace.
• Lead and mentor a squad of 2-3 PMs, instilling a customer-obsessed and data-driven mindset across the organization.

Product Director, Banking Engagement

• Shape and execute global access strategies
• Define access prioritization and market sequencing strategy
• Design access-related capabilities and governance structures
• Advise the CEO on access-related risks and trade-offs

Director, Global Access

• Lead the Corporate Real Estate function as the senior strategic partner to Business teams and Executive leadership across all divisions globally.
• Direct and oversee the Company’s global real estate transactions, leading high-stakes contract negotiations for offices, production sites, and land.
• Provide executive oversight for leases, purchases, expansions, and renewals.
• Lead large-scale strategic real estate projects including global expansions, relocations, redevelopments, and disposal of land and buildings.
• Act as a senior consultant to internal partners, including Business Unit Presidents and Functional VPs.
• Direct the activities and negotiation strategies of global external service provider teams.
• Lead real estate due diligence for major M&A and investment projects, ensuring all transactions globally comply with internal governance, statutory requirements, and corporate financial standards.
