Controller

• Serve as the primary finance business partner for the Matamoros manufacturing facility
• Provide financial guidance, operational insights, and performance analysis
• Lead the monthly financial close process, including account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with detailed performance analysis
• Develop, analyze, and report operational and financial KPIs
• Support budgeting activities and participate in operational meetings
• Drive continuous improvement in plant financial performance
• Build and maintain financial models and reports using Excel and ERP systems

Plant Controller

• Take full ownership of the General Ledger (GL), ensuring its accuracy, integrity, and compliance
• Maintain and manage the Chart of Accounts
• Lead the transition from outsourced accounting to an internal accounting function
• Manage monthly close activities, reconciliations, and financial accuracy
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Review Profit & Loss statements and financial performance across business units
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting for executive leadership
• Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations
• Review invoices, payroll, expense reports, and vendor payments
• Provide guidance and oversight to the bookkeeping team
• Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliations
• Coordinate payroll tax, sales tax, and year-end tax reporting activities
• Ensure accounting practices comply with company policies and financial controls
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling financial records and sensitive company information

Financial Controller – Contract

• Own daily cash reconciliation across QuickBooks Online, Authorize.net, and ACH
• Support month-end close and financial reporting with the fractional CFO
• Take full ownership of a broken recurring billing and failed payment recovery process for annual storage fees
• Provide financial oversight of lab inventory
• Success at 90 days means zero errors in financial records, at least one major collections or reporting process improvement implemented, and reduced days-to-close

Finance Controller – Biotechnology

• Assist the Controller in managing accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Participate in all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Oversee and analyze standard costing, inventory valuation, PPV/PV analysis, cost roll processes, manufacturing variances, and inventory reconciliations
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making
• Drive the month-end and year-end close processes by being the main journal entry preparer and account reconciler
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls
• Coordinate and manage external audits
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team
