Business Analyst

• Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives in pharmacy benefit management (PBM) services
• Support Preferred Drug List (PDL) and supplemental rebate implementations and configurations
• Support PDL and supplemental rebate operations and maintenance on established accounts
• Work with a team of pharmacy clinicians and subject matter experts to configure PDL and rebate systems to deliver services to our state clients
• Apply analytical skills to evaluate and model various rebate scenarios, providing insights for decision-making
• Perform system updates related to PDL and rebate configurations to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Analyze, plan, design, document or make recommendations to improve business processes to support client’s technology goals
• Execute testing for PDL and rebate system changes to ensure functionality and reliability
• Help verify that all requirements have been met by approving and validating test results
• Exercise your ability to use basic analytical or relational database software — such as Excel or SQL — to quantify the anticipated impact of work

Business Analyst – Preferred Drug List

• Understand the entire lifecycle of a class action or similar matter, determine what data is required based on functional requirements, and define how that data and business rules will translate to internal applications.
• Develop and publish technical specifications, technical requirements, and other documentation, as required.
• Design data mappings and transformations which will be used to drive ETL procedures.
• Work with QC Analysts to design testing strategies and plans to ensure all outcomes are as expected.
• Using tools such as Excel, Access, SQL Server, and others, directly query, assess, and analyze data to ensure requirements are being met.
• Serve as liaison between Client Services (business) and Data Analysts (technical) teams to keep production work flowing smoothly.
• Work with Technical Project Managers to ensure all required steps and actions are captured in project plans, and that project timelines seem reasonable.
• Lead, conduct, or consult in user acceptance test exercises to ensure results are acceptable and meet requirements.
• Follow prescribed software development standards, processes, procedures, methodologies, etc., according to departmental policies and conventions.
• Interact and correspond professionally with team members, project management, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Account for and accurately log time against project work.

• Analyze business requests to be solved with automated systems.
• Formulate and design automated systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
• Provide expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that meet user requirements and are within stated sizing estimates.
• Configure system settings and options; plan and execute business design, assist in integration and acceptance testing, where necessary; and create specifications for system to meet business requirements.
• Include analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
• Begins to develop working relationships with client end-users, programmers and test analysts while assisting with the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems.
• Maintains communications with end-users for feedback to ensure systems continually meet the client's expectations.
• Analyzes basic problems and issues (complexity varies based on data requirements and business specifications) and offers standard business solutions.
• Coordinates and facilitates client meetings.
• Develops simple business specifications and logical flowcharts that include features and functions from which programmers can create technical specifications.
• Demonstrates a basic knowledge of systems/modules to design system screens and database structures.
• Works with programmers to design and develop requirements and learns to analyze the feasibility of new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
• Prepares input for system design, including final report and screen definition, logical system flow and implementation plans.
• Provides support with the resolution of issues that may cross multiple systems and affect the business process and tracking of application incidents/issues; becomes familiar with how to identify system impact of changes in the business, user needs, external business environment and operating systems.
• Develops documentation to include, but not limited to bulletins, manuals, file layouts and application design layouts for internal, client and training purposes.
• Assists with the preparation and coordination of client training and documentation for installation of systems and upgrades.
• Tracks and learns to document changes for functional and business specifications; writes detailed, universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
• Assists with coordinating documentation and client follow-up evaluation monitoring; post-implementation problems and revision requests.
• Maintains and administers procedures, methodology and/or application standards to include payment card industry and security related compliance.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge to conduct and support testing/planning/validation by clarifying the intended functionality.
• Participates in the resolution of issues to ensure a successful implementation.
• Tests and learns to analyze possible courses of action and solutions.
• Assists with coordinating implementations including vendor and in-house testing, readiness assessment, training and hardware capacity evaluation.
• Assists with the project planning efforts on small development efforts.
• Tracks project progress, collects and analyzes information and trends, and communicates to the user community any anticipated schedule deviations.
• Maintains software deployment plans as directed.

• Serve as the primary Workday Financials administrator and day-to-day support contact for the Finance team, triaging and resolving configuration issues, user requests, and system inquiries with a high degree of responsiveness and quality
• Diagnose and resolve Workday Financials configuration issues across modules, including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement, and/or Banking & Settlement
• Partner with Finance stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional design specifications and Workday configuration solutions
• Support and deliver enhancements, new feature rollouts, and process improvements in Workday Financials, from requirements through testing and change management
• Participate in Workday semi-annual release cycles — reviewing release notes, assessing functional impact, coordinating user acceptance testing, and managing deployment
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation, including configuration guides, business process flows, and training materials
• Collaborate with the broader Enterprise Systems team on cross-functional initiatives involving Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, Integrations, and third-party connected systems
• Work with Finance leadership to support strategic priorities such as process automation, reporting improvements, and scalability initiatives tied to company growth
• Act as a bridge between Finance and IT, ensuring system changes are delivered with appropriate controls, testing rigor, and minimal disruption to financial operations
• Manage support tickets and project tasks through a defined intake and prioritization process, communicating status and expectations proactively to stakeholders.

Workday Finance Business Analyst

• Identifies and assists with the implementation plan of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM).
• Reviewing management information and trends to ensure services meet agreed upon service levels.
• Conducts maturity assessments against the current process activities to demonstrate areas of improvement or concern.
• Provides insight into the ITSM lifecycle and roadmap to define next steps of process maturity.
• Accountable for complying with all laws and regulations associated with assigned duties and responsibilities.

Lead IT Service Management Analyst

• Work directly with stakeholders to define, document, and drive business requirements
• Document business requirements using customer journeys, business context diagrams, and process flows
• Prepare business validation (UAT) plan and support business users in performing validation
• Partner closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts

Business Solutions Analyst III

• The Business Analyst will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and the technical delivery team.
• Responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements, with a strong focus on Agile methodologies and legacy system modernization.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, support product backlog management, and help ensure delivered solutions effectively meet organizational objectives.
• Compile, develop, and complete comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and related artifacts for complex initiatives.
• Use structured techniques (interviews, workshops, document analysis, etc.) to elicit and analyze business functions, processes, and requirements.
• Apply Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to analyze and document business functions and requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to build, refine, and support the management and prioritization of the product backlog.
• Create well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria based on stakeholder requirements; capture technical requirements as needed.
• Consult with management, subject matter experts, and end users to identify, define, and document business functions, needs and objectives, operational procedures, pain points, and input/output requirements.
• Facilitate working sessions, requirement workshops, and design discussions to drive alignment and decision-making.
• Analyze the integration of business functions with existing and proposed technology solutions to ensure alignment with business objectives and constraints.
• Perform and/or facilitate business and technical analysis in support of project design, development, and implementation activities for a team of application programmers.
• Actively participate in all required team meetings and Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Provide ongoing clarification of requirements, support sprint activities, and contribute to continuous improvement of team processes.

• Provide root cause analysis and corrective action plans
• Ensure quality delivery on project needs

Senior Data Solutions Analyst – Medicaid Growth Reporting

• Gather, document and organize requirements from CMS regulatory documentation
• Support facilitation of client discovery sessions and work stream meetings (creating materials, back-up to PO)
• Assist with creation and maintenance of workflows
• Create deliverables
• Assist PO with other program activities and deliverables such as: IRAADQ resolution / follow-up, writing features and user acceptance criteria

Business Analyst, Optum Experience
