Principal – Motion Design

• Own the motion design language for Harvey’s brand across launch videos, product explainers, web and campaign moments, event assets, social cuts, sales enablement, and other high-leverage creative surfaces.
• Create motion concepts, storyboards, styleframes, animatics, and final motion assets that make complex AI workflows feel clear, premium, and unmistakably Harvey.
• Partner closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Product Design, Creative Operations, and other GTM stakeholders to translate positioning, product context, and user needs into motion narratives that can ship quickly.
• Develop reusable motion systems, templates, animation principles, and production workflows so Harvey can scale motion output without reinventing the wheel on every request.
• Use judgment to scope work appropriately across polished hero moments, scrappy launch needs, quick-turnaround edits, and longer-term brand-system investments.
• Raise the craft bar for motion while remaining willing to do the unglamorous but important production work required in a fast-moving creative team.

Staff Motion Designer

• Creates, designs, and implements real-time particle effects using both static and animating 2D/3D elements
• Placing of visual FX across all areas of the game, including environmental and gameplay FX, and cinematics
• Create FX textures (color, normal, specular, ambient occlusion, height, and incandescent maps)
• Possesses at least an intermediate ability to navigate and use DCC software such as Maya, Houdini, or equivalent
• Creates FX shaders with node-based shader networks
• Creates simple geometry and UV sets
• Possesses an intermediate foundation in computer graphics fundamentals and artistic analysis
• Optimizes FX for framerate and memory
• Collaborates with other development departments to ensure that FX are implemented appropriately in the game engine

• Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and comms teams to develop and execute motion work that supports campaign strategies and business objectives.
• Concept and execute high-quality 2D and 3D motion graphics for campaigns, events, product launches, and brand activations, owning projects end-to-end from initial concept to final delivery.
• Animate 3D models and scenes with strong timing, pacing, camera work, and storytelling.
• Contribute to visual direction, layout thinking, and design exploration, ensuring motion is a driving force in how our brand shows up across digital and physical touchpoints.

Lead Motion Designer

• Concept and craft high-quality design and motion graphics, UI motion, and visual effects that bring the brand narrative to life across video and digital touchpoints.
• Drive projects from initial concept to high-fidelity final delivery, utilizing storyboarding, style frames, and animation to execute detail-oriented work within our brand system.
• Evolve our motion principles and guidelines while establishing self-serve workflows and templates that empower the wider organization to produce great work at speed.

• Create and maintain rigs for unique characters through the development process
• Support and implement animation content, and fine tune parameters for gameplay animation
• Work directly with Programming, Animation, and Design to prototype and deliver excellent combat, character locomotion and movement mechanics, facial animation, and other new game features to deliver extremely polished gameplay and animation. Help to determine risk/reward throughout the process
