About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Development and continuous improvement of complex web applications using Symfony and Python
- Designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data pipelines
- Creating and integrating plugins (e.g., for Shopware 6)
- Developing and customizing themes for e-commerce platforms
- Integrating and connecting external systems such as inventory management, ERP, and other third-party systems
- Designing and evolving distributed microservice architectures
- Implementing modern system architectures to optimize processes
- Working with various interface formats (REST, GraphQL, XML-RPC)
- Producing technical documentation to support product development and maintenance
- Contributing to automated software testing and CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer, or a degree with equivalent practical experience
- Strong knowledge of PHP, Symfony, Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with Shopware or comparable e-commerce systems
- Experience designing and implementing microservices and distributed systems
- Proficient with Redis, Elasticsearch, Docker, and databases
- Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment processes
- Structured, solution-oriented working style and a passion for technological development
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
