About the role

  • Lead the modernization and migration of legacy Mainframe systems to AWS, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient architectures.
  • Architect, implement, and integrate SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, Microsoft Sentinel) with internal systems to enhance monitoring and security incident response.
  • Design, develop, and maintain secure and resilient CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
  • Automate security and compliance controls in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
  • Implement, monitor, and continuously improve security controls in AWS, including IAM policies, KMS encryption, GuardDuty threat detection, Security Hub compliance checks, among others.
  • Promote observability best practices by implementing comprehensive monitoring, logging, and tracing for applications and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams to ensure security principles are incorporated from design through production.

Requirements

  • Advanced experience in backend development with Go (Golang).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services with a focus on security (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub).
  • Proven experience leading modernization projects migrating legacy Mainframe systems to cloud-native architectures.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps/SRE practices, including building and automating CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, or Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
  • Solid understanding of observability concepts: monitoring, logging, and tracing.
  • Passion for security, innovation, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
