About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own fleet orchestration strategy and execution as Zoox scales its fleets into new cities and states
Lead the roadmap and execution for cloud systems orchestrating the live robotaxi service and its mobile app experience
Improve routing and mission assignment for the autonomous test fleet to maximize on-road data accumulation
Define orchestration KPIs, build tracking mechanisms, investigate root causes, and drive data-backed action plans
Navigate technical trade-offs with engineers and data scientists and invent new fleet orchestration capabilities
Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams across vehicle development, system design, software engineering, manufacturing, fleet operations, Product Software, Product, and Data Science

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
7+ years of TPM experience
Strong background in large-scale cloud software systems, such as dispatch, marketplace, fleet management platforms, or consumer mobile apps backed by cloud services
Naturally inquisitive and highly technical mindset with creative problem-solving ability
Metrics-first approach to program leadership, including defining and instrumenting KPIs
Ability to translate complex technical bottlenecks into clear, data-backed executive narratives
Experience with fleet orchestration, ride-hailing, delivery, logistics, or real-time marketplace and dispatch systems is a bonus
Familiarity with routing, matching, resource allocation, or demand forecasting optimization problems is a bonus
Experience with autonomous vehicle platforms or large-scale robotics fleets is a bonus
