About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the build and operation of a CI environment for Airlines on a new MFG test asset - running automated test runs against physical hardware for either the GA line or FRU re-bringup flow, validating test content and catching regressions before they hit production.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a closely related field
  • Available to commit to a minimum three-month assignment
  • Able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Able to work on-site at one of our office locations
  • Must adhere with Zoox confidentiality requirements, including refraining from using or sharing proprietary company information outside of Zoox, such as in academic research, theses, publications, or presentations
  • Proficient with Linux/CLI
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Git
  • Hands-on hardware/lab skills (schematics, wiring, instruments)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complexity and ambiguity clearly
  • Embedded/HIL/test-automation/CAN coursework or projects
  • Exposure to CI tools, Docker, or Pytest
  • Experience with log-reading & triage
  • Familiarity with automotive/robotics ECU, firmware-flashing, or MFG-test
