About the role

  • Conduct cybersecurity discovery and assessments for municipal IT environments, including websites, email systems, and infrastructure.
  • Perform inventory and analysis of municipal websites, identify CMS platforms, vulnerabilities, and recommend secure configurations or migrations.
  • Assess and improve email security, including secure configuration, phishing protection, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) implementation.
  • Identify cybersecurity risks and provide remediation recommendations and implementation support.
  • Assist municipalities with security control implementation, including authentication, access management, and system hardening.
  • Evaluate and improve security monitoring, logging, and threat detection capabilities.
  • Provide cybersecurity policy guidance, best practices, and risk reduction recommendations for municipalities.
  • Prepare and deliver assessment reports, implementation documentation, and project status updates throughout the engagement.

  • Vulnerability analysis
  • Security reporting and documentation
  • Experience with Government cybersecurity projects (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Cloud email systems (Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace)
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal)
