About the role
- Design, prototype, train, evaluate, and deploy multimodal agentic AI models to Zillow's scalable infrastructure
- Build vision and language understanding models with deep reasoning and reinforcement learning for AI agent decision-making
- Leverage agentic frameworks (Agents SDK, LangGraph) and frontier GenAI models (vision, language, voice) to develop agentic prototypes and products
- Fine-tune OSS models using scalable training platforms to adapt models to the real estate domain
- Mentor and guide engineers and partners in agentic AI technologies and responsible AI usage
- Distill complex research findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences, including executives
- Implement papers with code and stay on the cutting edge of agentic AI paradigms
- Serve as focal point for projects, driving alignment on timelines, prioritization, and deliverables
- Continuously refine processes for experimentation, A/B testing, and production rollouts to balance innovation with reliability and responsible deployment
Requirements
- A master's degree or above, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Expertise in agentic AI, pretraining, fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning of vision, language, and voice models
- 7+ years of hands-on experience building large-scale, high-impact solutions
- Recent experience (ideally in the most recent two years) building agent-based systems or multi-agent collaboration
- Experience developing engaging dialogue systems capable of long conversations, multi-step reasoning, and context-rich decision-making
- Experience deploying and scaling AI services handling hundreds of millions of daily interactions with high availability, low latency, and robust fault tolerance
- Track record of writing articles and publishing research in top AI conferences is a plus
- Ability to prototype, train, evaluate, and deploy models on scalable infrastructure
