About the role

  • Develop, release, and maintain native Android applications that meet quality standards and user requirements.
  • Drive full app life cycle: design, development, testing, deployment, release on app stores, and ongoing support.
  • Address and resolve bugs and actively improve application performance.
  • Continuously explore, evaluate, and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.
  • Optimize application performance to provide a smooth and responsive user interface.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide day-to-day technical guidance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Android development.
  • Experience in shipping one or more Android apps, ideally currently available on the Play Store.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, and Android Studio.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of memory management in Android; experience using instruments to detect memory leaks and optimize performance.
  • Familiarity with Play Store recommended guidelines and coding best practices.
  • Proficient with design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP.
  • Knowledge of Android networking concepts and multithreading.
  • Awareness of latest Android technologies; Jetpack Compose knowledge is good-to-have.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior developers.
  • Personal projects that demonstrate an aptitude for engineering and product.
