About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support and service marine engines and turbochargers in international operations
Perform maintenance, commissioning, and service assignments on four-stroke diesel engines aboard vessels worldwide
Service engines with power outputs ranging from 1,000 to 16,000 kW
Overhaul and repair Napier, KBB, and ABB turbochargers in the workshop
Prepare the associated documentation
Install turbochargers at customer sites
Provide technical support and advice to vessel crews and operators directly on board
Monitor repair work performed by local shipyards and workshops and ensure proper execution
Work closely with customers and shipyards to ensure the reliable operation of marine propulsion systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician, electronics technician specializing in systems and automation technology, electronics technician specializing in measurement and control technology, or a comparable qualification
Experience in marine engines or engine service is preferred
In-depth knowledge of servicing, maintenance, fault analysis, and technical support for medium-speed and high-speed MaK and Caterpillar marine engines
Very good German language skills, at least C1 level
Good written and spoken English, at least B1 level
Independent and self-reliant working style
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative approach to work
Willingness to travel worldwide for business
