As a **Senior Mechanical Engineer**, you’ll lead the design, optimization, and validation of advanced mobile mechanical systems that power drilling, completions, well intervention, and field operations. - **Location:** Remote within the Midwest (MN, WI, IL, IA, MO, KS, TX, OK, AR, LA) **Travel:** ~10% annually to customer sites and fabrication facilities **Industry:** Industrial, Petrochemical, and Heavy Equipment Systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- **Key Responsibilities**
- - **Design and Develop:** Engineer mobile mechanical systems for oil and gas applications—hydraulic equipment, mobile lifting systems, and field-service machinery.
- - **Optimize Performance:** Enhance reliability and efficiency for high-pressure, high-load, and high-cycle environments.
- - **Model and Draw:** Create detailed CAD models and drawings using Inventor (preferred), Pro-E, or SolidWorks.
- - **Prototype and Validate:** Test and refine equipment to meet API, ASME, and internal quality standards.
- - **Troubleshoot and Improve:** Diagnose field issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement in system performance.
- - **Collaborate and Lead:** Work cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver robust, field-ready solutions.
- **Qualifications**
- - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- - 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for oil & gas or heavy industrial equipment.
- - Proficiency in CAD software (Inventor, Pro-E, SolidWorks).
- - Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, power units, and mechanical assemblies.
- - Proven ability to manage projects from concept through deployment.
- - Excellent communication and documentation skills.
