About the role

Design and develop novel AI computer vision models across multiple verticals such as solar, wind, and commercial properties
Develop AI models that operate on a variety of sensor data ranging from RGB to thermal imagery
Develop AI models that operate on a variety of image sources such as drones, fixed wing aircraft
Design and implement VLMs and agentic AI systems to extend multimodal understanding and enable autonomous decision-making across inspection workflows
Collect, organize, and analyze data for machine learning model development
Utilizing cloud technologies such as AWS to train and deploy AI models
Collaborating with and presenting model results to other members of the AI team and other cross-functional teams
Write documentation and tests on how to run, test, and use various models and programs that you develop
Mentor and coach more junior developers within the AI department

Masters Degree (or higher) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science
8+ years experience with building deep learning based computer vision models in a professional setting
8+ years experience with Python, Pytorch, and AWS
5+ years experience working with aerial imagery and geospatial data
Experience with mentoring and coaching more junior developers
Experience with collaborating with different teams to ensure models meet product specifications
Experience with state of the art AI models such as generative, agentic, or multimodal models
Recent publications in machine learning, geospatial, or similar academic conferences
