About the role
- Develop interactive training modules using Adobe Captivate based on input from training subject matter experts
- Collaborate directly with internal training SMEs to understand learning objectives and translate them into effective e-learning content
- Work alongside another Captivate developer to maintain consistency and quality across training modules
- Implement branching scenarios, quizzes, simulations, and multimedia elements to enhance learner engagement
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from SMEs and stakeholders to refine training products
- Conduct thorough testing of modules to ensure functionality, compatibility, and responsiveness across platforms
- Apply best practices in usability and user experience for e-learning environments
- Maintain organized project files, version histories, and technical documentation
- Support the continuous improvement of internal training programs through innovative e-learning solutions
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
- Demonstrated experience developing e-learning content using Adobe Captivate (professional, internship, or academic project experience acceptable)
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Captivate's features including interactive elements, simulations, and assessments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts who may have limited technical backgrounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality training materials
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new techniques
- Active security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, multimedia design, computer science, or a related field
- 1–3 years of professional experience developing e-learning content using Adobe Captivate
- Adobe Captivate certification or equivalent training
- Experience in Office 365
- Experience working in defense, aerospace, or government contracting sectors
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards and WCAG guidelines
- Experience in small team or startup environments
