About the role
- Architectural and technical ownership for complex client projects in the Cloud, IoT, and AI domains, from concept through production
- Design of AI use cases and agentic solutions for clients: gather requirements, identify suitable AI approaches, design architectures, and support their implementation
- Competent and meaningful use of AI in your own development work
- Close collaboration with clients: understand business requirements, develop solution approaches, and communicate technical decisions clearly
- Define and enforce architecture standards, patterns, and code quality within the backend and cloud practice
- Work closely with our engineering teams and project managers to ensure scalable, maintainable, and production-ready solutions
- Evaluate and select appropriate technology stacks, cloud platforms, AI frameworks, and third-party services
- Technical support in pre-sales and scoping phases: solution design, effort estimation, feasibility assessments
Requirements
- You actively use AI tools, LLM workflows, and agent-based systems in development and design such solutions for clients.
- Minimum 7 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead architect role
- Experience designing and building AI use cases: from requirements gathering through architecture decisions to production-ready solutions
- Expertise in cloud-native architecture, e.g., on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Backend background: Java, Python, or similar; microservices, event-driven systems, APIs
- Experience with IoT ecosystems: cloud-to-device connectivity, edge computing, device integration, and data-driven product architectures
- Experience with AI-adjacent infrastructure: MLOps pipelines, data platforms, integration of AI models and agents into production systems
- Practical experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
- You lead technical discussions with clients confidently and persuasively; complexity becomes clarity in your hands
- Hands-on mentality: you are as comfortable in code as you are in architecture workshops
- Experience in consulting, IT services, or agency environments. You know how real delivery works under client pressure
- Excellent German language skills, spoken and written (mandatory); very good English
