Mechanical Engineer
YLEM EnergyMechanical Engineer responsible for servicing and maintenance of generator sets in the UK. Supporting Operations staff and ensuring efficient operation and safety compliance.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, supervise and undertake overhaul of reciprocating generator sets
- Replace individual cylinder heads, liner packs, turbochargers when worn
- Perform day to day operations and maintenance including fault diagnosis
- Commit to continuous enhancement of skills and knowledge
- Ensure a stock of basic spare parts is replenished
- Provide 24-hour emergency call out cover to respond to generator set failures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Mid-level experience in mechanical engineering
- Ability to undertake servicing and maintenance of generator sets
- Knowledge of Health, Safety Quality and Environmental practices
- Capacity to supervise and train technicians
- Ability to perform fault diagnosis and repairs
- Flexible approach to varying workloads
