About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct desk research, including literature reviews, policy analyses, and evidence summaries
- Manage citations and maintain a shared evidence library
- Support stakeholder engagement through note-taking, meeting preparation, stakeholder database maintenance, and convening coordination
- Contribute to proposal writing and provide technical review as needed
- Apply quantitative or qualitative analysis skills according to project needs
- Draft, proofread, and format research publications
- Prepare dissemination materials, including decks, evidence briefs, and reports
- Fact-check and quality-assure materials before external release
- Support the Climate x SRHR project and report to the Research Lead
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate-level training or equivalent experience in public health, social science, or a related field
- Strong research and writing skills
- Genuine interest in climate resilience and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR)
- Excellent writing skills
- Detail oriented
- Enthusiastic, curious, and a problem solver
- Rigorous approach to sourcing, citations, and evidence quality
- Strong communication skills and willingness to speak up when uncertain
- Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis software preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours with reasonable overlap with YLabs US and East Africa teams
- Satisfactory background check and criminal record clearances required for employment offers
