About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Actively support month-end and year-end closing processes by reviewing financial statements and preparing relevant accounting adjustments.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual budget alongside the Finance Controller and local teams and support monthly budget follow-up and financial analysis.
- Contribute to the annual audit process by preparing supporting documentation and acting as a key point of contact for auditors in collaboration with the Accounting team.
- Support intercompany billing processes while ensuring compliance with financial standards and internal policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting tools, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Entry-level position in financial controlling; no prior experience as a Financial Controller is required. However, for candidates without prior controlling experience, a minimum of 2 years of experience in audit is required.
- Strong command of Excel and ability to analyse and manipulate financial data efficiently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Navision, is considered a plus.
- Experience in the industrial sector or in a fast-paced startup/scale-up environment is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of French and/or Italian is considered a plus.
