About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as lead members of the direct care team
  • Provide similar day-to-day functions as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) but with administrative responsibilities
  • Training, scheduling, systems management, and in some cases, directly supervising other DSPs
  • Work in a person’s home, in their family’s home, in a YAI residence, at a day habilitation center, or out in the community

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some college preferred
  • Prior DSP experience strongly preferred, but not mandatory
  • Ability to lead by example and act as a role model within teams
  • Interpersonal problem-solving skills
  • Ability to accept and apply feedback
  • Flexibility in availability
