About the role

  • Leading development activities within a large-scale insurance project using Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter
  • Driving configuration, development, and integration tasks across multiple Guidewire modules
  • Overseeing end-to-end delivery quality: assigning work, performing code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards

Requirements

  • Guidewire ACE certifications
  • At least 5 years in Guidewire Expertise
  • Deep hands-on experience in Guidewire Configuration across at least one major module: PolicyCenter or BillingCenter or ClaimCenter
  • Experience in Guidewire Rating
  • Proven capability leading development teams, assigning work, conducting code reviews, and ensuring delivery quality
  • Hands-on experience in Upgrades (PC/CC/BC)—running upgrade tools, merge trackers, resolving compatibility issues
  • Extensive expertise across the full SDLC: requirements analysis, estimation, design, development, unit testing, defect management
  • Strong Gosu programming skills
  • Strong SQL knowledge (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL)
  • Experience working with SOAP/REST web services, integration patterns, data models, and insurance domain integrations
  • Expertise in Agile delivery, daily stand-ups, planning, demos, retrospectives
  • Domain knowledge, understanding of P&C Insurance: FNOL, Exposures, Incidents, Reserves, Payments, Underwriting, Billing workflows
  • Leadership & Communication skills
  • Proven experience in mentoring developers, conducting knowledge transfers, maintaining standards & best practices
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools and Git
  • Ability to interact with BAs, architects, onshore leads; provide estimations; manage risks; create design documents
  • Strong analytical ability, proactive issue resolution, and capability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders
  • Nice to have: proficiency with Document management integrations, solid knowledge of Java/J2EE and ability to work with GW platform extensions, experience with Cloud, performance optimization, and GW Cloud best practices.
