About the role

  • Own the full lifecycle of critical database systems in a large-scale Kubernetes environment
  • Drive GitOps and Helm-centric deployment strategy for zero-downtime upgrades
  • Design, implement, and maintain database infrastructure using StatefulSets and Operators
  • Manage version control for Helm charts and configuration templates
  • Proactively monitor performance, security, and availability of production systems
  • Develop automation tools and scripts (Bash, Python) for Kubernetes management tasks

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience managing large-scale, high-availability database systems (PostgreSQL / MongoDB)
  • Experience with Python or Bash automation scripting
  • Proven experience with Kubernetes & Helm
  • Knowledge of advanced PostgreSQL HA concepts and/or MongoDB sharding and replication (nice to have)
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure (nice to have)
  • Experience in using version control systems and configuration management tools (nice to have)
  • Experience using database tools (pgAdmin, Pgbench, etc.) (nice to have)
