About the role
- Use proprietary software applications to provide input/labels on defined projects.
- Support and ensure the delivery of high-quality curated data.
- Support and contribute to the training of new tasks, working closely with technical staff to develop and implement initiatives/technologies.
- Interact with technical staff to help improve the design of efficient annotation tools.
- Interpret, analyze, and execute tasks based on given instructions.
- Contribute to refining annotation tools and selecting complex problems to drive model performance improvements.
- Collaborate closely with technical team to support training of new AI tasks and initiatives.
Requirements
- Must possess a Master's or PhD in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a highly-related field.
- Proficiency in reading and writing, both in informal and professional English.
- Strong ability to navigate various information resources, databases, and online resources.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
- Solid reading comprehension skills and capacity to exercise autonomous judgment with limited data/material.
- Strong passion for and commitment to technological advancements and innovation.
- Preferred: PhD in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Preferred: Substantial professional experience working on real-world problems in this domain.
- Preferred: Experience with at least one publication in a reputable journal or outlet.
- Preferred: Previous AI Tutoring experience.
- Preferred: Teaching experience (professor, teacher, or tutor).
- Preferred: Experience in technical writing, journalism, or a professional writing setting.
- Preferred: Professional background as a civil or environmental engineer.
- If based in the US: cannot be hired if located in Wyoming or Illinois.
- We are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
- Team members expected to work 9:00am - 5:30pm PST for first two weeks of training and 9:00am - 5:30pm in their own timezone thereafter.
- For personal device work your computer must be a Chromebook, Mac with MacOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later.
- Must own and have reliable access to a smartphone.
