About the role
- Conduct audits in accordance with the statutes of the Wasserband Eifel-Rur as individual case audits, system audits, or project-accompanying audits
- Advise the association's management and specialist departments on procurement, budgetary and business law matters, as well as on the legality and economic efficiency of business processes
- Carry out special audits on particular occasions
- Serve as the Internal Audit contact for the external audit body (audit firm)
- Participate in the annual audit planning
Requirements
- Master's or diploma degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Law, Law, or a comparable qualification
- Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in one of the above fields with solid professional experience in the described area (financial auditing, internal audit or external audit)
- Ideally, initial professional experience in auditing (financial auditing, internal audit or external audit)
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with technically and legally complex matters
- Analytical thinking skills and an independent, structured way of working
- Strong communication skills in dealing with internal and external contacts
- SAP knowledge is desirable
