About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead structural projects from conceptual studies through to construction, including complex new builds, conversions and renovations
- Develop innovative, robust and cost-effective structural solutions in collaboration with architects, clients and specialist partners
- Perform and verify structural calculations and ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards (SIA, Eurocodes)
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure effective project management in terms of quality, cost, schedule and client expectations
- Serve as a primary contact for clients/owners, architects, contractors and authorities
- Contribute to the preparation of proposals, technical documentation and client presentations
- Support the development of the Structures team’s expertise through knowledge sharing and mentoring of colleagues
- Participate in the continuous improvement of our design methods and digital tools, particularly within BIM approaches
Requirements
What you’ll need- Civil engineering degree (EPFL, ETH Zurich, HES or equivalent qualification)
- Proven experience in structural engineering for buildings and/or industrial structures
- Excellent knowledge of structural design, sizing/dimensioning and construction principles
- Demonstrated experience in project leadership and coordination of multiple stakeholders
- Good knowledge of Swiss construction practices and SIA standards and/or Eurocodes
- Excellent command of French; professional knowledge of English and/or German is an asset
- Independent, proactive and organized personality with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of responsibility
