About the role
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and curate data from internal and external sources.
- Develop and manage enterprise data platforms, including data warehouses, lakehouses, and analytical data stores.
- Integrate data from key business systems such as ERP, CRM, HR, and operational platforms.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and availability by implementing validation, monitoring, and error‑handling processes.
- Optimize data pipelines and architectures for performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and resiliency.
- Incorporate security controls, data privacy, and compliance standards into all data solutions.
- Partner with business analysts, data analysts, and stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver trusted datasets.
- Support analytics and reporting use cases, including dashboards, KPIs, and advanced analytics.
- Maintain clear and current documentation, including data models, lineage, pipeline design, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in solution lifecycle planning, from initial design through enhancement and retirement.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, application teams, and vendors to align data solutions with overall technology strategy.
- Support production operations, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of data platforms.
- Translate technical data concepts into clear, business‑friendly language for non‑technical audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, information technology, data science, or a related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer supporting enterprise analytics and reporting initiatives
- Proven experience designing and delivering scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, or lakehouse architectures
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling, normalized models, data vault)
- Hands-on experience with SQL and data transformation frameworks
- Experience integrating data across multiple enterprise systems and SaaS platforms
- Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams, ensuring shared understanding of data definitions and outcomes
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy.
