About the role
- Own dealer-channel commercial performance for energy services: pipeline, conversion, revenue, and gross margin
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, acting as the primary commercial point of contact
- Design and refine sales offerings, price structures, and campaign concepts in collaboration with product, finance, and marketing, ensuring they are competitive, profitable, and operationally feasible
- Support dealers in the full sales funnel: lead generation, qualification, quotations, closing, and handover to the Delivery team, including providing guidance on deal structuring and upsell/cross-sell opportunities
- Work closely with the Energy Service Delivery Manager to align commercial promises with delivery capacity, installation constraints, and risk management
- Plan and execute dealer enablement activities (e.g., training, playbooks, FAQs, sales tools) and collect feedback from the field to improve our value proposition and processes
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data, produce regular reporting, and drive corrective actions where needed
- Spend around 10–20% of your time visiting dealers and customer sites to support key opportunities, observe real-world constraints, and strengthen relationships
- Allocate 5–10% of your time to administrative tasks such as documentation, and internal reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 7+ years of professional experience in sales, account management, or business development in energy, construction, mobility, or other infrastructure-related industries
- Proven experience managing dealer or channel networks, including ownership of revenue targets and pipeline management
- Demonstrated ability to structure commercial offerings (pricing, packages, incentives) and to balance customer value, feasibility, and profitability
- Basic understanding of residential energy equipment (e.g., solar PV, V2H, home batteries) or EV charging – or the ability to ramp up quickly – sufficient to discuss proposals with dealers
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese. Conversational proficiency in English
