About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and manage NCRs; follow up on dispositions.
  • Oversee manufacturing-related quality requirements for elastomer molding, inspection, assembly, and testing.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with API 16A, ISO 9001, ASME, and related standards.
  • Review inspection reports and verify product conformance.
  • Create and manage TPI POs and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Conduct contract reviews and hold kickoff meetings with customers and TPIs.
  • Monitor job packet completion and ensure full final traceability prior to assembly.
  • Coordinate customer and TPI involvement for assembly and testing.
  • Witness hydrostatic testing and review test charts.
  • Maintain calibration logs; coordinate external calibrations as required.
  • Investigate customer complaints and support corrective and preventive actions.
  • Perform internal audits to ensure readiness for API and ISO re-certification audits.
  • Develop and maintain a quality management system (QMS) to ensure successful API and ISO audits.
  • Conduct supplier audits and support vendor-quality issues.
  • Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2–3 years of quality engineering experience in oil & gas; elastomer/polymers experience preferred
  • Experience working in an API 16A or ISO 9001 environment
  • Familiarity with API, ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM standards
  • Experience with root cause analysis, risk assessment, and CAPA
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends
  • Strong documentation and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
