About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and manage NCRs; follow up on dispositions.
- Oversee manufacturing-related quality requirements for elastomer molding, inspection, assembly, and testing.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with API 16A, ISO 9001, ASME, and related standards.
- Review inspection reports and verify product conformance.
- Create and manage TPI POs and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Conduct contract reviews and hold kickoff meetings with customers and TPIs.
- Monitor job packet completion and ensure full final traceability prior to assembly.
- Coordinate customer and TPI involvement for assembly and testing.
- Witness hydrostatic testing and review test charts.
- Maintain calibration logs; coordinate external calibrations as required.
- Investigate customer complaints and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform internal audits to ensure readiness for API and ISO re-certification audits.
- Develop and maintain a quality management system (QMS) to ensure successful API and ISO audits.
- Conduct supplier audits and support vendor-quality issues.
- Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2–3 years of quality engineering experience in oil & gas; elastomer/polymers experience preferred
- Experience working in an API 16A or ISO 9001 environment
- Familiarity with API, ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM standards
- Experience with root cause analysis, risk assessment, and CAPA
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends
- Strong documentation and attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
