About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data
Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes that manage appropriate data volumes and adhere to security measures
Develop processing and analysis algorithms fit for intended data complexity
Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models
Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness
Lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, and coach employees

Requirements

What you’ll need

8–12 years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or large-scale data platform design
Deep expertise in one or more major cloud platforms, preferably AWS and/or Azure
Strong experience designing enterprise-scale data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms leveraging tools such as Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, or equivalent technologies
Hands-on experience with modern data processing frameworks and technologies including Databricks, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and related ecosystems
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and advanced data modeling techniques
Comprehensive understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and master data management principles
Experience implementing DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies
Strong understanding of cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory requirements, including GDPR, SOX, and enterprise security controls
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence senior technical and business audiences
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex technology transformation initiatives
AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent certifications preferred
Experience supporting large-scale regulatory, risk, cybersecurity, or enterprise data initiatives
