About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Translate user needs, CONOPS, and high‑level architectures into clear, testable system requirements.
Lead design and development activities; provide technical leadership across integration of requirements, design, and technology.
Advise users on alternative approaches; conduct feasibility studies to de‑risk decisions early.
Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations with minimal disruption.
Produce crisp technical documentation, including system architecture and system design artifacts.
Guide implementation planning through System Engineering Management Plans (SEMP) and integration & test plans.
Engage directly with government counterparts to resolve technical issues and ensure mission alignment.
Uphold the technical integrity of deliverables and communicate effectively with program staff and senior executives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
