About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate user needs, CONOPS, and high‑level architectures into clear, testable system requirements.
- Lead design and development activities; provide technical leadership across integration of requirements, design, and technology.
- Advise users on alternative approaches; conduct feasibility studies to de‑risk decisions early.
- Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations with minimal disruption.
- Produce crisp technical documentation, including system architecture and system design artifacts.
- Guide implementation planning through System Engineering Management Plans (SEMP) and integration & test plans.
- Engage directly with government counterparts to resolve technical issues and ensure mission alignment.
- Uphold the technical integrity of deliverables and communicate effectively with program staff and senior executives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
