About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the planning, design, and development of user experiences for mission‑critical devices, tools, and systems
- Establish and apply interaction standards, usability conventions, and visual design principles
- Collaborate with engineers, subject‑matter experts, and stakeholders to gather and refine user requirements
- Develop wireframes, screen mockups, and prototypes to support design concepts and system functionality
- Participate in design trade‑off discussions to balance usability, technical constraints, and mission needs
- Analyze tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance user interaction and system effectiveness
- Apply visualization and screen design expertise to deliver intuitive, accessible, and effective interfaces
- Support customer understanding of emerging interaction techniques and design approaches.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ten (10) years of professional experience in User Experience (UX) Design
- Five (5) years of experience within the past ten (10) years leading or supporting project lifecycle design efforts
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Four (4) additional years of relevant UX design experience on comparable projects may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Demonstrated experience designing for complex systems or enterprise‑level applications
- Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
