About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Reporting to the CEO, the Sr. Director of Corporate Relations is responsible for building, managing, and growing WomenHeart’s corporate funding pipeline and portfolio.
  • Responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, securing, and stewarding relationships with corporations, life sciences companies, and other industry partners.
  • Develop and maintain a clear corporate fundraising strategy that outlines how WomenHeart will meet annual corporate funding goals and revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of corporate prospects and current partners, including documented cultivation, solicitation, renewal, and stewardship plans.
  • Monitor trends in corporate giving, sponsorship, CSR, and industry engagement to inform strategy and outreach.
  • Develop sponsorship concepts, proposals, decks, and related materials in collaboration with internal teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree requirements.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in corporate relations, business development, sponsorship, corporate fundraising, or nonprofit development.
  • Demonstrated success securing and stewarding corporate partnerships and revenue.
  • Experience managing multiple funder or partner relationships simultaneously with strong project management discipline.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use CRM systems, maintain accurate records, and manage reporting obligations.
  • Ability to analyze partnership opportunities, develop budgets or revenue projections, and communicate results using data and metrics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments while also operating independently with limited oversight.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related workplace technologies, including systems used for project management, reporting, and donor or partner tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, assess, and respond strategically to risks, opportunities, and changes in the funding environment.
  • Ability to travel to WomenHeart events, corporate partner events or convenings (up to 25% depending on location).
