About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct nursing care to residents
- Develop, implement, and review care plans
- Manage and oversee medications
- Administer PEG medications
- Supervise and support care staff
- Ensure safe, compliant, and person-centred care
- Contribute to staff training and clinical guidance
- Manage high-acuity, complex clients with increasing clinical fragility
- Deliver tailored clinical support to participants in Supported Disability Accommodation homes
- Support participants with complex needs, including enteral feeding, catheter and bowel care, tracheostomy and ventilation support, and dysphagia management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Enrolled Nurse with a passion for person-centred care
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a complex environment
- Calm, resilient, and confident in decision-making
- Collaborative team player
- Current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated clinical nursing experience; disability experience desirable
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel
- Relevant probity checks and vaccination compliance
- Ability to provide specialised support including enteral feeding, catheter and bowel care, tracheostomy and ventilation support, and dysphagia management
