About the role

  • Create and maintain GIS data, maps, ArcGIS Online web maps, and reports
  • Edit water, sewer, and stormwater data from plans, drawings, and field collection
  • Collaborate with engineers and senior GIS staff to meet project deadlines
  • Follow GIS workflows, standards, and best practices
  • Perform quality control checks and support database maintenance
  • Continuously learn new GIS skills and processes

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the field of GIS
  • Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and related tools)
  • BA, BS, or AAS in GIS, Geography, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of GIS-related software, GIS principles, products, and services
  • Ability to organize work, establish priorities, meet established deadlines, and follow up on assignments with little direction
  • Ability to work with large relational databases
  • Experience with working within a Spatial Database Engine (SDE) is a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of land surveying data collection methods and software
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Preferred: ESRI Certification
  • Preferred: GISP Certification
  • Preferred: Strong problem-solving skills
  • Preferred: ArcGIS Pro Software experience
  • Preferred: ESRI LGIM and Utility Network experience
  • Preferred: Lead Service Line Inventory experience
  • Preferred: GIS Application Experience to include Model Builder, Web App Builder, basic Python, Experience Builder, Field Maps, or Survey 123 within the ArcGIS Online Platform
