About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish product marketing as an emerging function and develop processes and go-to-market approaches for engaging new external audiences
- Recruit and lead product marketing team members
- Coordinate with Foundation departments on external audience engagement and campaign planning
- Apply retention and lifetime-engagement perspectives to product marketing
- Develop product marketing metrics covering audience growth, campaign impact, adoption, retention, brand awareness, and GTM processes
- Identify and prioritize market needs and balance them with product features
- Partner with Brand Studio and Brand Management to develop a shared global brand marketing approach
- Line-manage integrated and performance marketing team members, including paid media and owned digital experiences
- Develop marketing briefs, staff projects, and create campaigns and activations to grow global brand visibility, likeability, and awareness
- Align product marketing briefs with broader marketing and communications adoption
- Oversee web, SEO/GEO, and app store strategy as organic growth channels
- Oversee marketing technology and tooling, including integration among CRM, martech, product analytics, and communication platforms
- Monitor trends, platform shifts, emerging channels, and marketing tools
- Manage priorities across product marketing and integrated marketing
- Oversee relationships with external agencies
- Report to the Senior Director of External Communications
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12+ years of marketing experience
- At least 5 years of product marketing experience in a B2C setting
- Experience line-managing multidisciplinary marketing teams
- Experience at a major website, online publisher, or platform growing and engaging global audiences at scale
- Experience building product messaging and value propositions
- Global audience segmentation and lifecycle marketing experience
- Ability to adapt tone, voice, and messaging across cultural contexts
- Experience in agile, fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous marketing environments
- Ability to balance hands-on and strategic work, long-term strategy, and short-term performance demands
- Experience leading through influence and collaboration across teams and departments
- Experience developing and overseeing paid, owned, and earned media strategies
- Ability to operate as a peer with internal stakeholders
- Experience with campaign analytics and translating data into strategic decisions
- Direct experience evaluating or implementing CRM or audience and campaign data platforms
- Experience working remotely across multiple time zones and emerging markets, including leading a distributed team
- Budget management experience
- Current work authorization in the hiring location for non-US employees
