About the role
- Develop the concept for major-gift acquisition
- Take responsibility for sustainably expanding the pool of major donors
- Manage relationships with major donors and legacy donors
- Develop results-oriented strategies to achieve fundraising goals
- Maintain existing relationships and build a strong network
- Lead fundraising projects independently
- Plan and implement audience-appropriate events
- Monitor and report on activities using KPIs and within budget
Requirements
- University degree, vocational training, or equivalent professional experience
- Relevant experience in major-donor and/or legacy fundraising within an NGO or nonprofit organization
- Experience collaborating with and managing external service providers
- Knowledge of estate law or related legal fields is an advantage
- Expertise in donor solicitation and stewardship
- Confident, articulate writing style
- Project management skills
- Proficient with CRM systems
- Confident and composed presence in networking situations
- Willingness to occasionally work outside standard office hours
