About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations
- Ensure compliance with industry standards
- Optimise workforce performance
- Manage budgets and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Plan, schedule and monitor all electrical contracts
- Allocate resources efficiently
- Manage support staff on all contracts
- Ensure all electrical works comply with regulations
- Serve as the primary point for clients regarding contract status and scheduling
- Prepare and manage budgets, labour costs and materials procurement
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations and increase productivity
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in electrical services, contract and/or operations management
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract profitability
- Electrical background with knowledge of electrical systems, installation, repair and maintenance practices (qualified electrician or equivalent industry experience)
- Excellent leadership and exceptional team management skills
- Proven experience managing multiple fast-paced contracts
- Effective communication, client relation and stakeholder skills
- Strong problem solving, decision making and organisational expertise
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
