About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver planned servicing, reactive maintenance, and fault repairs across social housing contracts in London
Ensure access control systems remain fully operational, compliant, and safe for residents
Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and maintain a high standard of customer service
Communicate clearly with residents, housing officers, and internal teams
Work closely with supervisors and other engineers to manage workload and priorities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience as a Security / Access Control Service Engineer
Strong background in fault finding, servicing, and reactive maintenance
Hands-on experience with access control systems (standalone & networked)
Knowledge of health & safety practices and site working in occupied properties
Ability to work independently and manage your own daily workload
Strong customer service and communication skills
Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential): City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent Security Systems qualification
Experience working within social housing or local authority contracts
