About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver planned servicing, reactive maintenance, and fault repairs across social housing contracts in London
- Ensure access control systems remain fully operational, compliant, and safe for residents
- Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and maintain a high standard of customer service
- Communicate clearly with residents, housing officers, and internal teams
- Work closely with supervisors and other engineers to manage workload and priorities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience as a Security / Access Control Service Engineer
- Strong background in fault finding, servicing, and reactive maintenance
- Hands-on experience with access control systems (standalone & networked)
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and site working in occupied properties
- Ability to work independently and manage your own daily workload
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable (but not essential): City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent Security Systems qualification
- Experience working within social housing or local authority contracts
