About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collect, validate and maintain sustainability and ESG datasets from internal teams and external partners.
- Support the tracking and reporting of environmental and social performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate records relating to product certifications, supplier compliance, packaging and sustainability claims.
- Ensure data integrity across sustainability systems, supplier platforms and internal databases.
- Assist with data cleansing, reconciliation and quality assurance activities.
- Produce regular sustainability performance reports and dashboards.
- Support ESG reporting requirements and disclosure processes.
- Analyse trends and identify data anomalies, gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Support carbon, packaging and responsible sourcing reporting activities.
- Assist with the collection and validation of evidence required for audits and compliance activities.
- Support the management of certification and traceability data within relevant platforms.
- Monitor supplier data submissions and follow up where information is incomplete.
- Help ensure reporting aligns with emerging sustainability regulations and industry requirements.
- Support the administration and development of sustainability data systems and tracking tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
- Contribute to the development of new dashboards, automated reporting and process documentation.
- Work closely with Sustainability, Product, Sourcing and Technology teams to improve data availability and accessibility.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics or a related discipline.
- Excellent Excel skills, including data manipulation, lookups and pivot tables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple data sources and deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau or similar visualisation tools. (Desirable)
- Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and sustainability metrics. (Desirable)
- Experience working with large datasets. (Desirable)
- Understanding of retail, supply chain or product data. (Desirable)
- Familiarity with traceability or compliance systems. (Desirable)
