About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Hands-on design and implementation of dimensional data models, ETL/ELT pipelines (dbt), and data production processes.
Own data-pipeline reliability: monitoring, alerting and SLAs.
Define and enforce team workflows: version control (Git), CI/CD for dbt projects, code reviews, documentation standards and sprint cadence.
Drive timely execution: prioritize backlog, track deliverables, and ensure all projects meet agreed-upon deadlines.
Establish data-quality frameworks and best practices for data testing, lineage and governance.
Optimize performance of data models and Tableau data extracts to balance freshness and cost.
Build and maintain core Tableau dashboards and reporting layers for cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years in BI or data-engineering roles, with at least 2 years leading engineers.
Deep expertise in dbt (data modeling), SQL, and building scalable data pipelines.
Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Tableau dashboards.
Strong software-engineering practices: Git, CI/CD, code reviews, documentation.
Proven track record of delivering BI projects on time, with SLAs.
Excellent communicator- able to navigate between technical depth and business clarity.
Experience integrating machine learning models into data pipelines.
Experience designing and building internal APIs for data access and consumption.
Experience in gaming or other high-velocity consumer-tech environments - Advantage
