About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in a formal internship program in Internal Audit
Complete various audit assignments and become familiar with policies, procedures, and audit methodology
Work under the guidance and direction of experienced audit staff and managers
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to achieve goals
Participate in relationship building, work assignments, coaching, performance feedback sessions, group projects, and learning sessions with key leaders
Support risk assessments, evaluate risk controls, and apply compliance requirements to identify, manage, and mitigate risk
Contribute to data-driven audit insights and operational excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a Technology-related degree, with expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028
Successful completion of the 2026 Audit Internship Program
Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis techniques
Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools such as chat-based assistants and Microsoft Copilot
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, processes, and business challenges
Critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize effectively and support audit management activities
Business reporting and analysis skills
Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders
Ability to build inclusive working relationships, apply influencing skills, and incorporate feedback
Business acumen and commitment to excellent service
Ability to support risk assessments, evaluate risk controls, and apply compliance requirements
Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring current or future Wells Fargo visa sponsorship
