About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in a formal internship program in Internal Audit
  • Complete various audit assignments and become familiar with policies, procedures, and audit methodology
  • Work under the guidance and direction of experienced audit staff and managers
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to achieve goals
  • Participate in relationship building, work assignments, coaching, performance feedback sessions, group projects, and learning sessions with key leaders
  • Support risk assessments, evaluate risk controls, and apply compliance requirements to identify, manage, and mitigate risk
  • Contribute to data-driven audit insights and operational excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a Technology-related degree, with expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028
  • Successful completion of the 2026 Audit Internship Program
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools such as chat-based assistants and Microsoft Copilot
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, processes, and business challenges
  • Critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and support audit management activities
  • Business reporting and analysis skills
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders
  • Ability to build inclusive working relationships, apply influencing skills, and incorporate feedback
  • Business acumen and commitment to excellent service
  • Ability to support risk assessments, evaluate risk controls, and apply compliance requirements
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring current or future Wells Fargo visa sponsorship
