About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee daily operations of financial aid awarding, compliance, and student communications.
  • Ensure accurate administration of federal, state, and institutional funding.
  • Organize and execute financial aid programs and initiatives.
  • Counsel students and families regarding aid programs and financing options.
  • Serve on various Financial Aid, Enrollment Management, and campus-wide committees.
  • Monitor operations to ensure timely awarding of financial aid awards.
  • Manage student and parent requests for special circumstance reviews.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.A. or B.S. degree and five years of higher education or other relevant experience.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work environment.
  • Experience coordinating financial aid and scholarship programs (preferred).
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations.
  • Organizational skills and ability to coordinate programs and projects autonomously.
  • Willingness to stay engaged with national trends in higher education.
  • Leadership experience in a customer service focused environment (preferred).
  • Experience with Ellucian Colleague or Banner (preferred).
