About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee all aspects of inventory planning, control, and analysis
  • Optimize inventory availability while balancing MOQ/EOQ-based cost, demand, and operational efficiency
  • Own and maintain the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system
  • Translate demand forecasts and production plans into purchasing requirements
  • Monitor inventory health through key performance metrics
  • Quantify future purchasing needs for raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods
  • Communicate purchasing requirements to Purchasing
  • Identify and resolve material shortages, excess positions, and supply constraints
  • Analyze inventory turns, days of inventory on hand, aging stock, and obsolescence risk
  • Recommend corrective actions for slow-moving, aging, or obsolete stock
  • Develop and maintain inventory KPI dashboards and reports
  • Present findings to the CFO and senior leadership
  • Support month-end and year-end close, inventory valuation, reserve calculations, and variance analysis
  • Reconcile physical and cycle counts against system records and investigate discrepancies
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Purchasing/Procurement, Production, Sales, and Finance
  • Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and working capital analysis
  • Drive continuous improvement of inventory planning processes, systems, and tools
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Support internal and external inventory audits
  • Report to the CFO

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6+ years of experience in inventory planning, procurement, materials planning, or supply chain operations
  • Experience preferably within cosmetics, beauty, personal care, or related consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry
  • Demonstrated experience with MRP/ERP systems; NetSuite strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and inventory management principles
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and forecasting
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Understanding of production workflows, inventory transactions, goods receipt processes, and inventory controls
  • Financial acumen concerning inventory costs, operational impacts, and stock adjustments
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
