About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Gather supplies and set up banquet rooms according to the Banquet Event Order and Banquet Captain instructions
Attend pre-event stand-up meetings to learn function details, guest expectations, and hotel expectations
Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner
Serve food and beverages according to the Banquet Captain’s expectations
Promptly bus dishes after each course, meal, or function
Replenish beverages and check guests’ overall satisfaction
Clear and reset banquet rooms after events according to supervisor specifications
Line out supplies for future functions as needed
Perform side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking banquet shelves
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products and follow health standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Prior banquet serving experience preferred
Availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. continuously through a crowded room during a shift
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to grasp, lift, carry, move, or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing up to 100 lbs.
Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling
