Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and select research methodology for assigned research tasks
Design and administer surveys and quantitative data collection instruments
Apply correlational and quasi-experimental research designs
Conduct regression, multilevel modeling, and other applied statistical analyses
Collect, clean, organize, code, and analyze quantitative data
Use qualitative and mixed-method techniques as needed
Write and present research reports, statistical results, and research summaries
Track research tasks, timelines, data management processes, and documentation
Provide feedback and informal mentoring to project team members
Interact regularly with clients and present results directly to clients
Facilitate focus groups and other qualitative data collection activities as needed
Plan and facilitate meetings, webinars, and workshops for education partners
Collaborate with Finance, Communications, Instructional Design, and other internal teams
Contribute to articles, presentations, thematic summaries, and dissemination activities
Build relationships with K-12 practitioners, nonprofit organizations, and researchers
Contribute to proposal development and supervised business development activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in education, economics, statistics, or a related quantitative social science field
Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant research experience
Strong foundation in quantitative research design and statistical analysis
Experience with regression analysis, multilevel modeling, or quasi-experimental design
Familiarity with Stata, SPSS, R, and/or NVivo
Familiarity with Qualtrics for survey administration
Familiarity with Tableau for data visualization
Experience with survey design and data collection instrument development
Content-area focus in ELA and math outcomes, academic transitions, and/or postsecondary outcomes strongly preferred
Ability to work under low supervision and independently define methodology
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to draft research reports and present statistical findings clearly
Ability to collaborate with teams and interact with external clients and partners
Ability to anticipate problems and generate solutions
Commitment to educational equity for historically underserved communities
Authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
Successful completion of criminal background check and education verification
