About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage with clients and staff on technical issues related to water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Responsible for business development and proposal writing.
  • Manage and engage in project work from planning stages through construction.
  • Lead engineering designs and prepare various project documentation including reports and specifications.
  • Establish and foster client relations, meet clients to determine project scope, and estimate requirements.
  • Develop and maintain client contact before, during, and after project completion.
  • Maintain workload projections and balance demands among staff.
  • Recommend staffing needs to senior management and prepare technical reviews of staff work.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • 15+ years’ experience in civil engineering consulting or engineering management.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills are essential.
  • PE licensure in the State of California and/or Oregon, or ability to obtain PE licensure within 6 months of hire. PE licensure in other states that firm is actively practicing may also be considered.
